Vientiane and Luang Prabang have a wide selection of accommodation available – from quality Deluxe properties to budget guest houses. Most properties are relatively small and boutique in style, and the Deluxe category properties - Settha Palace in Vientiane, and La Residence Phou Vao and Maison Souvannaphoum in Luang Prabang and the newly launched Amantaka are internationally renowned. Elsewhere in Laos accommodation standards become more basic, however we always utilize the best available and most travelers agree that this is a small price to pay for the experience of discovering these amazing areas.

In Luang Prabang and Vientiane there is a range of local and international restaurants serving delicious cuisine to suite all tastes and budgets and standards are generally high. In provincial centers and more remote areas the range of choices diminishes and international flavors or standards are often not available, with local restaurants serving Laotian cuisine being the norm.
