Destination Malaysia

Corporate Travel in Malaysia
Visitors to Malaysia will find a very diverse country that offers unique opportunities and experiences, making it the destination of choice for MICE events.
From the iconic Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur; the massive Mulu Caves in Sarawak that are large enough to swallow up an entire jumbo jet; the “Streets of Harmony” in George Town, Penang, which are an inspirational example of religious tolerance; the long stretches of pristine sandy beaches along the coasts of Langkawi Island; to the modernity of the F1 motor race at the Sepang International circuit, the opportunities for MICE events are limitless.
With a strategic location at the centre of Asia; well developed and modern infrastructure; a mature stable democratic political system; a rich cultural background; incredible geographical diversity; all topped off by a fantastic tropical climate, Malaysia is the ideal MICE destination.
The country is both a treasure trove of natural beauty and technological advancement, and hosting a MICE event in Malaysia is not only practical, it will also provide a memorable experience that will produce positive results. Malaysia offers an endless array of exciting pursuits including jungle trekking, sailing, caving and mountain climbing, all of which provide for excellent team-building activities. Trekking on Mount Kinabalu is a great way to raise group fitness levels and increase rapport.
If city-based events are more appropriate, the capital Kuala Lumpur and regional centres such as George Town, in Penang offer a variety of business conference venues and hotel options, backed by incentive options, including night life, shopping and dining. The plethora of markets provides a great opportunity for groups to practice their powers of negotiation as they bargain for the best price.
The range of regional options is diverse and Destination Asia Malaysia is well placed across the country to provide the very best service to clients. With a head office in Penang, and an operating presence in Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Kota Kinabalu in Borneo to meet all your needs, guests will be warmly welcomed by Malaysian hospitality, backed by Destination Asia’s vast DMC expertise to ensure delegates and incentive winners feel truly rewarded after visiting the country.
Another advantage is the low cost. Prices are a steal compared to other global destinations but the country has the same world class standards of cutting edge technology and infrastructure. There are international hotel chains as well as unique boutique hotels, offering travellers world-class accommodation with impeccable service.
Pre and Post Tours
Guests can experience the perfect balance of business and pleasure by having a pre or post tour when they attend a MICE event in Malaysia. There is a lot to do and discover once delegates leave the meeting room. There is something for everyone: shopping, sightseeing, home stays or just walking on beautiful beaches and resting after meeting and conference activities. For the more adventurous, activities include parasailing, scuba diving, horse riding and white-water rafting.
This colourful country is divided into six main regions, namely the Northern Region, Central Region, Southern Region, East Coast, Sabah and Sarawak. Easy flight accessibility exists, with the main gateway at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang in the state of Selangor. The rest of the country, including Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan in East Malaysia, is well serviced by 14 domestic airports and airstrips.
