Mandalay Excursions

Mandalay Full Day City Tour

Operated: Daily, 08:00–17:00 hrs.

Morning visit Amarapura, one of the capitals of the third Myanmar Empire. Visit the Mahagandayone Monastery Here you will see the morning feeding ceremony. Located near to the Monastery is U Bein Bridge.

This afternoon sightseeing will be the Mahamuni Pagoda, the Shwe Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery), Kuthodaw Pagoda.

A drive to the top of Mandalay hill provides a beautiful atmosphere for sunset over Mandalay.

Mingun & Ava Day Excursion

Operated: Daily, 08:00–17:00 hrs.

Depart Mandalay with your guide on a private boat for a journey on the Irrawaddy River for about 1 hour.

Take a one hour boat trip up the Ayeyarwaddy (Irrawaddy) to Mingun to visit the unfinished Mingun Paya (Pagoda), and the Myatheindan Paya and continue to 90-ton Mingun Bell.

In the afternoon drive to Ava, the capital of Burmese Kingdom during the Second Myanmar Empire. Upon arrival Ava tour the sites including the Bagaya Wooden Monastery, Nanmyint Watch Tower and Mai Nu Oak Kyaung via a more local form of transport, a pony cart.

After that return back to Mandalay.

Pyin Oo Lwin Day Excursion

Operated: Daily, 08:00–17:00 hrs.

Morning drive a journey to Pyin Oo Lwin about 2 hours. In 1896 Pwin U Lwin was a favourite summer time retreat for the British colonists.

Arrive Pyin Oo Lwin, visit Pyin Oo Lwin Market and explore around the colonial down town via stage coach ride. Visit Candacraig Hotel (famous colonial building) and Pwe Kauk Fall.

And than continue to Peik Chin Myaung Cave. As water seeped and dropped from rocks and limestone, there appeared stalactites and others in the shape of chandeliers.

Late afternoon drive back the Mandalay.

Amarapura, Ava & Sagaing Day Excursion

Operated: Daily, 08:00–17:00 hrs.

Morning drive to Amarapura and visit U Bein?s Bridgeand the Mahagandayone Monastery, home to over 1,000 monks and visit a silk weaving and arts & crafts store to see the intricate detail that goes into making each hand made piece.

After lunch, visit Ava, which was the capital of Burmese Kingdom during the Second Myanmar Empire. Visit picturesque ruins, villages and quaint country monastery by pony cart through the peaceful countryside.

Continue to the surrounding area of Sagaing Hills. Observe monks and nuns ways of life by visiting Monasteries.

Late afternoon drive back to Mandalay.

Monywa Day Excursion

Operated: Daily, 08:00–18:00 hrs.

Morning drive to Monwy about 3 hours, a city in central Myanmar and situated on the eastern bank of the Chindwin Rive.

Monywa sightseeing is not completed with a visit to Thanbuddae Pagoda. Arrive Monywa, sightseeing visit will be Thanboddhay Pagoda, Bodhi Tahtaung and Po Khaung Taung.

After lunch, visit Pon Win Daung and Shwe Ba Hill, just beyond Pho Win Hill, features unique pavilions cut from the surrounding sandstone and filled with plain Buddha images.

After that return back to Mandalay.
