A good guide can transform a sightseeing excursion into a memorable encounter with a destination. Recognising that difference, Destination Asia Vietnam recently organised a series of training workshops designed to strengthen the skills of its guiding teams.
Held in Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, and Hanoi, the sessions brought guides together to explore service excellence, changing guest expectations and operational updates.
The central focus, however, was storytelling. Beyond delivering facts and dates, guides were encouraged to consider how personal insight, engaging narratives and local knowledge can bring Vietnam’s culture, history and people to life.
The workshops also provided opportunities for participants to exchange experiences, discuss practical challenges and build stronger connections with Destination Asia’s operational teams.
Feedback from the guides was positive, particularly regarding the interactive discussions and practical insights shared throughout the program.
