A journey into the wild

This multi-day journey explores Cambodia through a balance of cultural landmarks and remote natural landscapes, connecting major cities with lesser-visited regions in the northeast. Beginning in Phnom Penh, visits to key historical sites provide context to the country’s past before travelling overland into more rural environments.

The route continues to Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri, where forested landscapes, waterfalls, and wildlife sanctuaries introduce Cambodia’s biodiversity. Guided treks in Keo Seima offer opportunities to observe rare species, while time with Bunong communities provides insight into indigenous traditions. In Preah Vihear, a forest-based stay supports conservation initiatives and highlights the region’s dry forest ecosystems. The journey concludes in Siem Reap, where sunrise at Angkor Wat and exploration of the wider temple complex are paired with a boat excursion through a nearby bird sanctuary, creating a considered overview of Cambodia’s cultural and natural heritage.
