Explore Chiang Mai by classic Royal Enfield

TH ASOCT 305 305

There are many ways to explore Chiang Mai’s Old City, but few have quite the style of a classic Royal Enfield sidecar.

Exclusively curated by 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai, this new 90-minute private experience begins at the hotel’s historic teakwood mansion. Once the headquarters of the Borneo Company, the property has deep links to the European residents involved in northern Thailand’s teak industry during the late 19th century.

From here, one or two guests can climb aboard a restored Royal Enfield sidecar to explore the city at an unhurried pace. The route calls at Wat Duang Dee for an introduction to Chiang Mai’s spiritual heritage before continuing to Kalm Village, a contemporary cultural space where guests can pause for refreshments and tap into the city’s creative scene.

The experience concludes with a leisurely ride back to 137 Pillars House. Blending motoring nostalgia with architecture, religion, and contemporary culture, the journey offers an intimate perspective on Chiang Mai and the layers of history hidden among the lanes of the Old City.
