For a product to represent one of the themes, it must fulfil the requirements of at least one criteria – and within a single product, it is possible to have multiple themes.

LE1: Part of the tour provides an opportunity for respectful interaction or meaningful connection with locals; bridging understanding between travellers and hosts while building local pride and confidence.

LE3: Local knowledge or storytelling is shared through learning experiences provided by the host community.
Reducing the impact on the planet by limiting carbon emissions and waste produced.
RF1: Low CO2 emission transportation and vehicles leaving minimal negative environmental impact are selected as a priority.

RF3: Preference is given to accommodation and activity suppliers who are engaged in or have achieved sustainability certification.

GB1: Part of the cost of the tour directly supports local social enterprises or non-profit organisations to help initiatives related to environmental conservation, cultural protection, local education, and/or community development.
