Laos unveils first glass bridge in Vang Vieng

LA ASOCT 305 305

Vang Vieng is preparing to add another high-altitude attraction to its growing roster of outdoor adventures with the opening of Laos’s first glass bridge.

Located in Huay Sangao village, the new structure is expected to open in October 2026. Stretching 228 metres and suspended 128 metres above the valley floor, it will give visitors the sensation of walking high above the limestone scenery that draws visitors to the region.

Designed to accommodate up to 400 people at a time, the bridge is being built by a team experienced in high-altitude glass structures and to international safety standards.

The development extends beyond the bridge itself. Visitors will also be able to access a cliff elevator leading to a panoramic viewpoint, while other attractions include bungee jumping, Tham Nang Eua Cave, restaurants and a swimming pool.

The addition brings another perspective to Vang Vieng’s dramatic landscape, complementing the hiking, climbing and adventure activities that have helped transform the former backpacker stop into one of Laos’s major outdoor destinations.
