Cambodia team builds first aid expertise

KH2 305x305

The best travel experiences depend on knowledgeable local teams. And Destination Asia Cambodia has taken another step towards ensuring guests are in safe hands by putting office staff and core guides through two days of Red Cross first aid training in Siem Reap.

The practical program covered a wide range of emergency response skills, including CPR, choking, bleeding, wound care and snake bites, with participants learning through demonstrations, group exercises and realistic scenarios. While such situations are thankfully rare, having trained staff can make a real difference, particularly when travelling in Cambodia’s more remote regions where immediate medical assistance may not always be available.

The training also reinforced the close working relationship between the office team and guides, enabling them to learn together and strengthen communication and confidence. It forms part of the company’s continued investment in professional development, ensuring guests benefit from local experts who are constantly developing their knowledge, skills and ability to deliver safe and memorable journeys throughout Cambodia.
