Singapore’s futuristic skyline can make its turbulent wartime history seem distant. This private military heritage experience closes that gap by taking participants to the locations where some of the city’s most significant Second World War events unfolded.
Guests walk historic battle sites, explore military landmarks and hear accounts of the soldiers, civilians and resistance fighters caught up in the conflict. The experience also examines Singapore’s strategic importance as home to what was then the largest British naval base east of Suez, as well as the events surrounding the 1942 Fall of Singapore.
Being physically present at these locations gives the stories an immediacy that is difficult to reproduce in a museum, while themes of leadership, resilience and sacrifice provide plenty of scope for discussion and reflection.
The experience also reveals a side of Singapore easily overlooked amid its contemporary attractions, adding historical depth to a wider program in the city.
Limited to a maximum of 20 participants per group, it is particularly suited to smaller incentives and specialist groups interested in history and place-based storytelling.
