The festive season gets an early start in Singapore when The Nutcracker returns to Sands Theatre from 26 to 29 November 2026.
Presented by Base Entertainment Asia, the Christmas classic will be performed by the State Ballet of Georgia, which returns to Singapore following its sold-out season of Swan Lake last year. Led by Artistic Director Nina Ananiashvili, the 60-strong touring company is regarded as one of the world’s leading classical ballet ensembles.
The full-scale production follows young Clara on a magical Christmas Eve adventure, as a mysterious nutcracker transports her to a world of living toys, battling mice, dancing snowflakes and the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets.
Tchaikovsky’s celebrated score provides some of ballet’s most recognisable moments, from the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy to the Waltz of the Flowers, accompanied here by grand sets and elaborate costumes.
